At Stafford Manufacturing Corp., we use only high-grade materials and premium quality hardware in our shaft collars and rigid couplings. Socket set screws and socket head cap screws are either made of heat-treated alloy steel,18-8 stainless steel, or 316 stainless steel depending on the application and customer preference.

All hardware we use meets applicable ASA/ASME/ANSI B18.3 standards, which precisely outline quality specifications for socket cap, shoulder, and set screws. Because the hardware used in our shaft collars and rigid couplings has a significant impact on the parts’ performance, we carefully screen all raw material and hardware suppliers to ensure we are using the highest grade materials.
